Jury Konga

Jury Konga is a long-time advocate, innovator and speaker on Open Government, Open Data, e-Government, m-Government and innovation in information management and technology. He has over 35 years of experience including surveying and mapping, IT and GIS and management consulting in both public and private sectors. Jury developed the Open Data Framework for Canada’s “G4” cities (Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Ottawa), has assisted numerous other municipalities with their strategic planning and implementing Open Data initiatives.

Jury is a Co-founder of the Canadian Open Data Institute and was also appointed as an IPC “Access by Design” Ambassador by Dr. Ann Cavoukian, Ontario’s Information and Privacy Commissioner. He was the inaugural Chair of the MISA (Municipal Information Systems Association) Ontario Gov 2.0 SIG and is a past President of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association ON. He is the Principal of eGovFutures Group providing strategic and operational planning, innovation research in a number of sectors including government, health and environment.
